Happy Shiny Purchase

Ever feel a bit silly admitting that shopping does good things for your soul?

Volunteer, blood donor, big sister — we get that. But finding the perfect white tank? Don’t kid yourself: not exactly what Mother Teresa had in mind.

Cast that negativity aside and step into Koros, a new West Loop boutique named for the Greek goddess of extravagant joy and created with the purest of intentions — to bring others happiness.

The carefully edited selection of merch includes LottyB caftans and kimonos from the island of Mustique, embroidered slides from CYD, Kristin Kahle belts, Stitch’s denim, plus work from local artist Maria Isasi. We were particularly enamored with the hand-painted mannequins in the window.

Koros also plans to sponsor shopping events from which a percentage of sales will go directly to local and national charities. So you can feel even better about picking up a new pair of chandelier earrings.

Sometimes even good deeds come in small packages.
