Nature Versus Nurture

Some of us pulled the long straw in the game of life: innate wit, perfect hair, and thighs that don’t touch.

The rest of us, however, have spent the last twenty years playing catch up: learning manners, joining book clubs, and, of course, trying to acquire a sense of style.

But stand us side by side and you’d be hard-pressed to say who comes out ahead — the old nature versus nurture debate.

Further complicating the issue? Agnes & Hoss, a new handbag line inspired by the outdoors (ahem, one point for nature). The first collection features organic and natural imagery like seaweed, eucalyptus branches, wool grass, and pinecones on silk fabrics. The bags come in five shapes — a clutch, tote, bowler, hobo, and barrel — so you can choose (put one on the board for nurture) that which best matches your God-given assets.

Or those you are trying to cultivate.
