Imagine lazing about in a big comfy chair, gazing down on the blue water of Lake Michigan, the Ferris wheel spinning in the distance, while your feet are massaged and your toenails polished the perfect shade of pink.

Sheer bliss.

You, friend, are one lucky lady. Which is why the new Bliss Spa at the W Hotel Lakeshore is reaching out to aid women who aren’t as fortunate. From Monday through October 24 (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) you can play your part by bringing in basic hygiene products (ones you haven’t used, silly) and Bliss will donate them to the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago.

As a thank you, you’ll get a free tube of Bliss lemon and sage body butter (and a sneak peek of the 9,600-square-foot spa, which is already scheduling appointments for the official October 14 opening). Plus, every 50th donor gets a blisscertificate for a hot cream manicure. But our favorite part has to be munching on the legendary brownie bar while sitting at a movie-while-you-manicure nail station.
