What:
Bowls of soup priced according to the outside temp.
Why: Chicken noodle for pocket change? We absolutely heart frostbite.

What: Four-part performance art series/sculptural installation by Chicago wunderkind Justin Cooper.
Why:  Resolution #234 — Do something besides drink on the weekend.

The Misanthrope
What: Moliere’s  play set in modern-day Chicago.
Why: A cast of hipsters, posers, and groupies.
When: Thurs.-Sun., 8 p.m. Thru Feb. 5.

Marshall McGearty Tobacco Lounge

What: Gourmet coffee, bites, and handcrafted cigs in a super-ventilated (designed by NASA), super-mod, and super-cool space.
Why: Take that, smoking ban. (Even though ’06 should be the year you kick the bad habit.)
When: Daily, 9 a.m.-midnight.

Junior’s Sports Lounge
What
: Big games by day. DJs by night.
Why: University Village keeps acomin’.
