Project Runway Spoils

Obsessed with your favorite designer? Nothing wrong with that.

Dumpster diving for her castoffs in the middle of the night? Okay. Now there is something wrong with that.

If what you want is to get up close and personal, try getting into her pants. The innuendo-free way to do it? A pair of low-rise boy shorts designed by South African Project Runway comer Kara Janx.

Before Janx’s every over-emotional move and design became a national obsession, she was working her butt off (har har) creating whimsical panties. The cotton and Lycra blend bottoms are hand-screened with everything from the delicate (bows, butterflies, and orchids) to the directional (a plumbing blueprint and a big X — to mark the spot).

Rather wear your devotion on your sleeve? She also makes kimono-inspired jersey wrap dresses, flattering frocks that can be wrapped around the waist then tied in front or back. Either way you do it, just untie to disrobe.

At which point, whom you get intimate with is entirely up to you.
