Walk the Line
Marky Shoe Boutique

We’d like to take a moment to reacquaint you with your feet.
Ten cute toes, two killer ankles, and the ubiquitous daisy tattoo. Sound familiar?
It’s time to let the dogs out of the boots. Not in condition for a public viewing, you say? Fine, ease into reexposure at the uber-private Marky shoe boutique. This sliver of a spot on North Lincoln is more exclusive shoe lounge than Armitage Avenue mega mall.
The selection of high end heels, pumps, and boots is all European, so don’t expect the usual names. What you will find are impeccably crafted round-toe suede platforms with skinny heels from Spain, brown and orange leather heels with side cutouts from Italy, and Euro-style walking shoes that you normally see only on the feet of impossibly fashionable foreigners.
They order just one size of each shoe, so you can forget running into others that look just like yours.
Too bad you can’t say the same for that tattoo.
Marky Exclusive European Shoe Boutique, 3919 North Lincoln Avenue, between Irving Park Road and Byron Street (773-248-1500 or shoesbymarky.com).
