There Goes the Neighborhood
Provenance Food and Wine Opens

You know the one about a woman scorned. Hell. Fury. Never ends well.
But what about the fury of a woman who can’t find a decent bottle of wine and the ingredients for dinner in her own ’hood? Watch out. Lock your doors, people.
Unless you live in Logan Square, where that tale now has a happy ending thanks to the newly opened Provenance Food and Wine. The shop, which carries all-natural and hormone-free products, is filled with artisanal cheeses, ready-made sauces, pastas, and wines from boutique vintners. The freezer is stocked with gourmet ice cream, sorbets, and top-quality meats and fish.
Owner Tracy Kellner brings nine years of restaurant experience to the project, which guarantees that everything is of the highest standards. Not convinced? Drop in for one of the weekly food and wine tastings and try for yourself.
It is, after all, the neighborly thing to do.
Provenance Food and Wine, 2528 North California Avenue, between West Logan Boulevard and West Fullerton Avenue (773-384-0699 or provenancefoodandwine.com).
