The Bird Machine Band Posters

You. Ten pounds thinner. Barely upright on a tattered plaid couch in a Midwestern college dorm room. A black light illuminates “Keep on Truckin’” posters. Through a haze of the smoke and Moe tunes you think, killer art, dude. Killer.

Mercifully, a lot’s changed since then. But what’s up with your dated taste in art?

Time to discover The Bird Machine’s music posters. For the last decade, Jay Ryan and his team have been creating screen-printed posters for bands like Stereolab, Fugazi, Death Cab for Cutie, and Queens of the Stone Age — all hand-drawn, hand-screened, and handprinted in a small studio in Ravenswood.

And they’re not just for groupies. You can buy a poster for yourself. The average price is $20, and each print is a limited edition. Once a design is sold out, it’s gone for good.

As for your old art, it’s time to let it go the way of Jerry Garcia.

Don’t worry. You’ll be very grateful.
