Getting the Run Around

Enthusiasm is an elusive beast. When you don’t need it (Another mojito? Alrighty!), there it is. When you do (Monday mornings, family reunions), it’s MIA.

If exercise inspiration is what you’re seeking (and, frankly, who isn’t?), Girls on the Run can help.

The nonprofit is part of a nationwide program that trains 8- to 12-year-old girls to run. More than just an exercise class, the ten-week program is designed to educate girls on social, emotional, and physical development. The crowning triumph is a celebratory race at the end of the course.

How can you help? By coaching, donating, or volunteering at the June 3 WonderGirl Race, where 900 runners will complete their very first 5K.

Just what you need to get yourself up and running.
