No Pain in the Tech
Escape Personalized Shopping Services

You’ve made peace with the fact that you can’t pick your parents. (Thanks, Dr. Freud.)
Now it’s time to accept that picking their presents might be just as challenging.
This year, leave the Father’s Day gifting to the experts at Escape.
The Lincoln Park techie boutique just launched a personalized shopping program for all budgets. Pinching pennies? Schedule a free in-store consultation, and a tech specialist will walk you through the latest gadgets (we’ve got our eyes on the world’s smallest notebook from OQO).
If you’re too busy to shop, have one of their personal shoppers do it for you. The $30-per-hour fee is waived if you spend $500 or more. Just e-mail or call ahead with pop’s vitals (what he has, what he does, how much you want to spend), and they’ll find a fit. For $100 an hour, you can shop when the store is closed (before 11 a.m. or after 8 p.m.) in total and complete privacy.
But remember, sometimes a gift is just a gift. Even when it’s a cigar.
Escape, 2128 North Halsted Avenue, between Webster and Armitage Avenues (773-348-4217 or enterescape.com). Call 877-229-9660 to schedule an appointment.
