That’s What Friends Are For

Eskell Online Shop

There’s something to be said for an old friend.

You know, like the one who sounded the cottage cheese alert when your mini was too short. And the one you convinced to unbutton her collar to let some air in.

Such honest partnerships aren’t forged overnight. They take time.

Case in point: Eskell, started by longtime high school buddies Elizabeth del Castillo and Kelly Whitesell. They went their separate ways after college — globe-trotting, studying at FIT, working for the mighty Jane Mayle — but reunited to launch their own vintage-inspired clothing line.

The spring collection includes pinstripe fishing shorts with adjustable cuffs (three-inch inseam for risk-takers, five for the cautious), a horizon halter blouse, and a flirty strapless number with insets that give the dress structure and the twins some lift.

But if there’s too much lift, you can count on you-know-who to tell you to tone it down.
