All Together Now

Unison Home

Raise your right hand and repeat after us — in unison.

“I, [insert name], do solemnly swear that from this day forward I will respect my bedding as much as I respect my wardrobe. I will no longer make my bed in mismatched sheets or use the Laura Ashley comforter I’ve had since college.

“To expedite this transition I will seek guidance from Chicago design duo Alicia Rosauer and Robert Segal of Unison. After all, their years of working at Marimekko speak not only to their talent but also their good taste.

“I will start by choosing one of their five bedding collections to be my own. The linear inspired patterns come in happy colors like citrus and sky blue and more subdued palates like ecru and taupe, so there’s no excuse for not finding a match.

“Next, I will pick throw pillows in complementary colors (nectar and aqua) and patterns (Static and Juniper) that will work, in unison, with the clean lines of the bedding to create a peaceful, beautiful, and welcoming bed.

“All of this I promise, so that the next time I make my own bed, I will (happily) lie in it.”
