Thank You for Smoquing

Smoque BBQ Opens

Everyone learns that birds fly south in the winter to avoid the chill.

Looks like we’ve been duped. (A little bird told us.) In fact, they favor
the South for the
comfort food.

Some prefer to stay local, however, confident they can wing it and find grub despite the frost. Lucky for them (and for you), Smoque BBQ has nested in the Windy City.

The Old Irving Park neighborhood restaurant is a quick and casual eatery (think walk-up counter service) specializing in regional barbecue. The rustic decor feels right at home. And though the menu may be small, you won’t have to eat like a bird.

After sampling the authentic BBQ ribs, tender pulled pork, vinegar-based coleslaw, and peach cobbler, you’ll leave very satisfied.

And will be flocking back in no time.

Smoque BBQ, 3800 North Pulaski Road, at Grace Street (773-545-7427 or smoquebbq.com).
