Sometimes it’s just easier to beat around the bush. “Maybe we should take a break” is practically your mantra these days.

But here’s something you’ll want to commit to: Mr. Pussyfoot, custom shoewear by Miguel Aguilar (graffiti artist, graphic designer, painter).

After Aguilar designed a pair of Air Force Ones for his little bro (custom painted with somebody’s kit-kat, naturally), an inevitable buzz resulted. Today, he’s busy painting shoes — rated G through X — for customers from all walks of life.

A Chicago native and graduate of the School of the Art Institute, Aguilar’s both homegrown and talented. He carefully applies leather paint to each pair from heel to toe and will even sew a fabric of your choice onto the outer lining. And he’s currently working to screen-print photos onto his sneaks.

True to form, you’ll be Pussyfooting around in style.
