Bruced Up

Sometimes you really kick butt (at the gym, shopping). And sometimes you don’t (in the kitchen, Monday mornings).

On those days when you could use a good kick of your own, call upon the roundhouse ruler himself, Bruce Lee. Nicole Noselli’s and Daphne Gutierrez’s recently relaunched clothing line, Bruce, is named for the martial arts icon. And while it definitely kicks ass, the spring/summer line is more edgy feminine than rough-and-tumble.

Returning from a three-year hiatus, the two pals have turned out a mature, solid collection full of lightweight cotton and chiffon pieces that are clean, simple, and wearable.

The beauty lies in the details (applique lace flowers, for one) and technique with which each piece is created. Tunics and midcalf dresses are smocked but not overly peasanty. Tanks, shorts, and high-waist pants in neutrals round out the collection.

And are guaranteed to knock your socks off.
