Cure What Ales Ya

Rain on your wedding day. No smoking signs on your cig break. And months of liquor license hold-ups when you’re trying to open a bar.

Alanis may be early ’90s, but irony is timeless.

Just ask David Lehtman and Brian Eldridge, owners of new West Town nightspot Relax Lounge (formerly Pharmacy), which finally opens its doors today.

Relax is the cure for the common bar, from the neon green cross marking the entrance to a light installation formed by hundreds of illuminated pill bottles. Prints from famous local rock photographer Paul Natkin dot the walls.

Chomp on burgers and fries (the sole menu option), then sip on a Guinness float, and you’ll feel as good as new.

Sounds like just what the doctor ordered.

Don’t ya think?
