Bad Mama Jamas
Mix CD Sleeves from Zeichen Press

Sure, they wear dorky jeans and fix your posture in public. But mothers mean well. Some are even (gulp) cool.
Like Fran and Jen Shea, the sisters-in-law (and a couple of hot mommas) who started Zeichen Press.
Using a half-ton, hand-fed press, complete with vintage printer blocks, wood type, and antique lead, the pair has been creating punchy drink coasters and cards since 2005.
Their latest collaboration: CD sleeves with a decidedly old-fashioned feel. (No more giving mixes to your friends wrapped in a gym shirt. Eww.) Choose from the disco dude, the stereophonic road trip, and a host of other delicious designs that are perfect for passing along your tunes in style.
Music to our ears — and mother approved.
Available at Paper Doll, 2048 West Division Street, between Damen and Hoyne Avenues (773-227-6950). To see styles, go to zeichenpress.com.
