Platter Chatter

Cul de Sac Dishes

dish it!

Your kitchenware is at a total dead end. Sippy cups from your terrible 2s, stained spoons from college dinners gone awry.

Looks like your tabletop collection is headed the wrong direction down a one-way street.

Reverse your misfortune with Cul de Sac dishes from Canuck designer Laura McKibbon, who screen-prints her handmade ceramic platters with squirrels, bunnies, birdies, and the like.

McKibbon is involved in each step of the process, from the molding and painting (using colors from her vintage palette, including sea foam green, rose, and robin’s egg blue) to the printing, which she does using photo emulsion silk screens.

Dishwasher-safe, they’re just the cure for your dish depression. We think you should buy a few of each.

But you know that already.

You’ve got mad street smarts.

Available at Willow, 908 North Damen Avenue, between Walton and Iowa Streets (773-772-0140). To see styles, go to culdesacdesign.com.
