Class Act

Summer Classes at Columbia College

summer school rules!

Summer’s here, and your laziness is at an all-time high. Beach lounging, daytime drinking — even your brain cells are laying out, belly up. Maybe it’s time to get into the shade.

Keep your cool with a community class offered through Columbia College. Don’t freak, we’re not suggesting rocket science. Just a little grown-up arts and crafts to get the creative juices flowing.

Like bookbinding or papermaking at a variety of levels. We’re signing up for pulp screen-printing, Japanese papermaking (finally, progress on that 1,000 cranes project), and digital book arts (scrapbooking for cool people).

Teachers are brought in from all over the country for the one-day to ten-week courses.

You’ll have newfound skills and completed projects to show for it.

Which are way better than tan lines.

Sign up for classes at Book & Paper Center (312-344-6630 or bookandpaper.org).
