Not that we’re complaining, but warm weather can really bite. (Fine, we’re complaining.)

The smack down: The Cubs keep losing. (And losing.) The street festivals are a mob scene. There are no waves at the beach.

You could bask in the air conditioner’s CO2 emissions, or you could round up a few friends and call Urban Shop Guide. A personal shopper will pick you up in a chauffeured luxury vehicle and escort you to Chi’s hippest boutiques, like DailyCandy favorites SHE, Jade, and Habit. Talk about easy shopaholic fun. Really, it’s too hot to design your own itinerary.

You’ll get perks, discounts, gifts with purchase, and wine as you browse (in case you’re worried that this will be the typical Mag Mile trek).

They do tours year-round, which makes it a great excuse for playing hooky. To say nothing for how it can distract overbearing summer visitors. (Cousin Susie and Aunt Mildred! Back so soon!)
