An Art to Heart
Susan Fleming’s Kid Art Jewelry

Your sister loves sending you mailbags of her baby genius’s finger paintings. (“You’ve got extra room on your fridge, right?”)
Much as you love the little Braticelli, the abstract scribbles are ruining your minimalist MO.
Tell sis you need some space, pick a few of your favorite pieces, and get Susan Fleming to shrink them down to reasonable size and usable scale. Specifically, into a necklace or key chain. (Such a cute way to honor the mighty doodle.)
Fleming can work with pretty much any medium — watercolor, pencil, crayon. It doesn’t matter whether the master work was done on a restaurant place mat or construction paper. In the end, each custom piece is coated in a protective resin finish and set in sterling silver. Instant heirloom.
The little one will thank you later on. You know, when you put it on permanent loan to their retrospective.
Available at Stitch, 1723 North Damen Avenue, between Wabansia Avenue and Willow Street (773-782-1570). Custom orders take two to four weeks.
