Erin Gallagher Jewelry Opens

If it were legal, you’d ditch clothing altogether and wear only accessories.
But it’s illegal (not to mention freaky), so you begrudgingly continue to look for accessories that complement (rather than replace) your wardrobe.
Nude-a-nators are in luck: After four years of selling in other peoples’ digs, jewelry designer Erin Gallagher has finally opened a space of her own.
The West Loop boutique is a dual shopping experience. Up front, Gallagher’s collection of ready-mades — ultra-modern and vintage pieces in sterling, gold, and rare stones (like crysophase, labradorite, and rutilated quartz). In back, a customization area where you can mix and match chains and stones to create your own signature piece (assembled and delivered to your door in two weeks).
Brides-to-be, first-rate gift givers, and top-notch tastemakers are learning quickly that Gallagher’s got the goods to please.
And she’s a gem to boot.
Erin Gallagher Jewelry, 1017 West Lake Street, between Morgan and Carpenter Streets (312-492-7548 or egjewelry.com).
