You know the equation: dating + workplace = trouble.

Breakups are bad enough as is. But how are you supposed to stalk the ex on Facebook when he’s sitting one measly cubicle away?

Oh, but when it works out, it’s just gravy. Not only did Molly Schemper and Justin Hall meet and start dating at work — they now live and work together for their own company, Fig Catering (For Intimate Gatherings).

Food is in their blood: Schemper’s family owned a restaurant; Hall went to culinary school. Dropping their day jobs was the logical thing to do.

From seated dinners for two or 40 to hors d’oeuvres that feed 100, Schemper and Hall love to customize (say, upscale mac ’n’ cheese for the guy who eats only trashy food). Schemper covers sweets (mango upside-down cake, homemade truffles), while Hall does savories (scallop and caramelized leek risotto).

They also offer in-home cooking classes.
