Wholly Cow

Whole Bakers Launches

Healthy sweets usually taste like birdseed.

And Lord knows you ain’t no sparrow. You’d rather eat the real thing (and let your ass pay the price).

Instead, pay Patty Stewart in thank yous for Whole Bakers, her brand new online bakery. Stewart, a dessert fanatic who also suffers from celiac disease (an oat and wheat gluten allergy), was sick of eating sweets that resembled sawdust. So she set out to create tasty, gluten-free cookies in her own kitchen.

Using organic, whole-grain products (no white flour, nothing refined), she baked by the truckload, tested on her (patient) kids, and before long perfected delicious cookies that were healthy to boot.

Now partnered with Deerfields Bakery, Whole Bakers cranks out cookies by the thousands in flavors like choco chip, lemon shortie, sugar drop, and ginger joy. Up next: coconut macaroons, almond butter bars, and gluten-free muffins.

Pretty swheat.
