A League of His Own

No Dress Code by Tony Cohen

so chic!

Tony Cohen is ballsy.

After two years of jocking around with the Pittsburgh Pirates, he started an entirely different kind of team: his clothing line, No Dress Code.

Born into a fashion family in Amsterdam, Cohen’s father worked in textiles; his grandmother designed clothing. So he knows a thing or two about making killer schmattes (and that “sporty!” is not synonymous with “chic.”)

Rather the opposite. NDC’s airy dresses and tops are all about soft, delicate, lived-in fabrics. They drape to flatter, and his colors resemble flowers as they transition from fresh to dry. Look for black, white, and gray in understated patterns and plenty of embellishments, from sequined belts to brass rings.

We know, we know. It’s not exactly the season for exposed stems.

But you’ve never been one for dress codes.

Available at Roslyn, 2035 North Damen Avenue, between McLean and Dickens Avenues (773-489-1311 or roslynboutique.com).
