They say a man without a woman is like a ship without a sail.
In other words, dudes ain’t goin’ nowhere on their own. (Not without a loud, pollutant-spewing outboard motor anyway.)
So it makes sense that Guise owner Brad Habansky partnered with two chicks, Heidi Taylor and Jodi Immel, to open GuiseChic, a boutique/salon that caters to both sexes.
The 3,800-square-foot space, opening tomorrow in Lincoln Park, is conveniently divided into male and female. Guys get stainless steel and lines like Edun, Maharishi, Earnest Sewn, and Helmut Lang. Flat-screens play sports in the salon so boys can feel butch while getting their tips frosted.
On the girls’ side, it’s all black chandeliers, glossy white walls, wide-leg pants from Theory, silk shorts and jumpers by IRO, and Gryson bags. Get cut, colored, and blown out while watching the tube at the full-service women’s salon.
If your fancy strikes, scope for cooties while you browse.
Ahem, cuties.
