No respectable kid wants to spend his or her summer searching for an Inverted Jenny. So it will be a red-letter day when you register them for one of these camps.
Kids ages 8 to 14 learn circus stunts such as juggling, stilt-walking, and ball-walking, before putting on an Alice in Wonderland-themed show at Lookingglass Theatre’s Summergglass.
At Experiencia’s Exchange City, kids ages 10 to 16 create their own faux working city by electing a mayor, interviewing for jobs, and selling goods and services.
The Notebaert Nature Museum’s Wild Waterways teaches kids ages 7 and 8 about the ecosystems of lakes, ponds, and rivers and includes a canoe trip on the Chicago River.
They’re sure to stick. Stick around, that is.
