Starfruit Yogurt Shop Opens

Trends we wish would die: oversize sunglasses, hipsters, celebrity adoption.
Those we wish would live forever: Spanx, fro yo.
Lucky for Chicago, we’ve got Starfruit, a new Wicker Park sweet spot (opening tomorrow) serving up fresh kefir fro yo, smoothies, and parfaits.
Low fat and full of enzymes and probiotics, kefir is both healthy and lip-smackin’ tasty. Top off a cup of original or pomegranate yogurt with goji berries, Vosges chocolates, Alliance Bakery cupcakes, Reese’s, mochi, and seasonal toppings like pumpkin bread. Smoothies and parfaits come in peach, vanilla, strawberry, and cappuccino, to name a few.
Ecofriendly to boot, Starfruit’s plasticware is biodegradable and compostable. Between the colorful interior (magenta, orange, lime green) and cozy front patio, it’s also easy on the eyes.
Not to mention the thighs.
Starfruit, 1745 West Division Street, between Hermitage Avenue and Wood Street (773-328-2900 or starfruitcafe.com). Stop by tomorrow for a free taste in honor of Tax Day.
