Whimsical Candy

“We’re not having an affair. He’s married. He just happens to think I’m neat.”
Annie Hall may be outdated, but la dee dahs never go out of style.
Just ask Chris Kadow-Dougherty, owner of Whimsical Candy, a brand-new company that specializes in La-Dee-Dahs — caramel-nougat-chocolate swirls of gooeyness.
Kadow’s candy obsession dates back to her preschool days when she packed her bags and attempted to move into the candy shop down the block (for real). When that didn’t work out (she wasn’t allowed to cross the street by herself), she decided to wait until she grew up.
Grow up — and study up — she did. At Chicago’s French Pastry School, Kadow learned her trade inside and out. She now makes La-Dee-Dahs in a shared kitchen (to minimize her carbon footprint) with all-natural ingredients. Smartly packaged in a three-piece box, the treats fit perfectly in both pocket and purse.
Trust us — we can’t stop Keaton ’em.
