It’s a Draw

Clearly, your child’s finger paintings belong in a museum.

But you’ll happily settle for enrolling him/her at Art & Soul, a kids’ art studio and wellness center opening Saturday in Andersonville. Classes (for ages up to 17) include ceramics, mask making, and painting. Family programs invite parents and infants to make crafts in a playdate setting.

Beyond the classroom, private art therapy sessions uncover creative outlets for kids facing trauma and disabilities. And counseling services for new parents, tots, and teens help treat everything from baby blues to behavioral issues.

There’s something for everyone.

Take it or Louvre it.

Art & Soul, 5347 North Clark Street, at Summerdale Avenue, second floor, Andersonville (773-878-7685 or artandsoulchicago.com). Open house, Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
