Oh, Brother

Hub 51 Restaurant Opens

Peyton and Eli. Ethan and Joel. Mario and Luigi.

Successful brothers are all the rage.

Add R.J. and Jerrod Melman (Lettuce Entertain You heirs) to the list: Hub 51, their first solo venture, opens today in River North.

The duo created Hub 51 as a spot to meet up, kick back, and enjoy tasty food. From lunch to late night, you can feast on contemporary American dishes like open-faced BLTs, broiled sea bass, and halibut tacos with homemade corn tortillas. Don’t let the approachable grub fool you: The chef’s previous gigs include stints at French Laundry, Alain Ducasse, Chez Panisse, and Tru.

After you eat, set up shop at the spacious bar, jam to live DJ tracks, or people watch. With 10,000 square feet of space, you won’t be able to resist.

We can relate.

Hub 51, 51 West Hubbard Street, between Clark and Dearborn Streets (312-828-0051 or hub51chicago.com).
