Girl Scouts have an innate ability to pimp Tagalongs to any passing Joe.
But just when you think they’ve cornered the cookie market, along comes MK Cookies, a mail-order company that uses generations-old family recipes passed down from baking pros.
Using local ingredients, MK turns out seven types of cookies (chocolate chip, double chocolate, peanut butter, oatmeal) in regular and mini portions. Made in small batches out of a shared kitchen space in Ravenswood, the goodies are delivered fresh.
During the holidays, don’t miss the pumpkin, peppermint, cranberry-orange, and gingerbread flavors. The cute ribbon-adorned boxes will win over any sweet tooth.
Scout’s honor.
Available through October 31, Saturdays, 7 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Lincoln Park Farmers Market, at West Armitage Avenue and North Halsted Street; online at mkcookies.com.
