Birds of a feather flock together.
So it makes sense that artists Jay Ryan and Diana Sudyka tied the knot.
Here’s how we imagine it happened:
First date. Ryan learns that as a child, Sudyka used to make bird books by copying pictures of her favorite species from encyclopedias. Enthralled, he asks her out again.
Second date. Sudyka reveals that she volunteers at the Field Museum’s bird division and uses the collections to help develop her bird watercolors. Ryan is smitten.
Third date. The two hold hands and talk dirty about screen printing.
Dot dot dot.
Married life. Sudyka uses husband Ryan’s shop, The Bird Machine, to create her exquisite, colorful prints.
A love nest indeed.
