Fobots: Found Object Robots

Greetings, Chicago earthlings. We are Fobots — Found Object Robots. We hail from Raleigh, North Carolina, a galaxy with much better weather than yours.

We come bearing a message from our creator, Amy Flynn, an established illustrator with a hankering for automatons. She finds gems among flea market junk, puts us together, piece by piece, and names us.

Hothead is made from a tobacco tin, car thermostat, oil can, and screen door handles, among other doodads (don’t mess with him). Bling Bling has a slammin’ bod: hearing aid tester, cake decorating tips, wrenches, valve lifter springs, rhinestone pin. Hermaphrobot has both male and female parts.

We have numbered butt tags; each of us is unique.
