For a surefire fairytale ending, you need a fairy godmother who will take control of your destiny (and keep rodents at bay).

Beth Brace will grant all your wishes. The owner of Bucktown’s favorite shabby chic shop, The Painted Lady, keeps a customer wish list in her pocket while hunting for fabulous wares at flea markets.

Just tell her what you want and — poof! — she’ll find it, from French provincial dining tables and apothecary jars to vintage chandeliers and antique armoires (and if you’re lucky: glass slippers). The crafty fairy can also repaint, refurbish, and weather any piece to your liking.
