Art Classes with Layne Jackson

A serial hobbyist, you’ve beat boxed, salsaed, and stamp collected your way to oblivion.

Now you’re seeking summertime passion.

Put your heart into painting and drawing classes with Layne Jackson. The former Latin School art instructor teaches group lessons for all skill levels in her intimate Wicker Park studio and art shop.

Lessons change weekly and explore everything from color mixing to contrast to perspective. One week you’ll learn to shade by duplicating an image from a vintage photo; the next there’s a live model in the mix.

To ensure individual attention, Jackson limits class size to seven students and private lessons are also available.

That’s hard to brush off.
