The Noble Grape Wine Shop Opens

Sharpen your schnoz at The Noble Grape, a new wine and spirits shop in West Town. The earthy, ecofriendly space and accessible vibe are ripe for tasting, inquiring, and learning what you like.

Owners Alex Basich (of the late Vintage Wine Bar) and Milan Patel shelve small batch and boutique wines from South Africa, Argentina, and California (try Motor City Kitty Syrah from K Vintners); champagne and sparkling sips; sake, port, and dessert wine; biodynamic, sustainable varietals; craft beer (Goose Island, Three Floyds); and premium liquors (Death’s Door).

Neato alert: Thursdays through Saturdays, the Mobile Grape (a cooler-equipped tricycle) will deliver drinks to diners at neighborhood BYOBs. Need help choosing? Noble offers a wine pairing list for dishes at many restos.
