Getting out of a jam isn’t easy.
Starting today, getting into one won’t be, either.
Jam is bringing affordable breakfast back to the Ukrainian Village. Co-owner Jerry Suqi (Chickpea), executive chef Jeffrey Mauro (North Pond, Charlie Trotter’s), and sous chef Mike Noll (Schwa, gorgeous) woo with clean, rustic flavors and mod, streamlined decor.
Located in the old Dodo space, the homey, open kitchen balances Plexiglass chairs; damask sconces; and poppy, chartreuse place mats.
Jump-start your day with buckwheat crepes (lamb neck, Asian pear, hazelnut-sage glaze), malted custard French toast (Suqi promises it’s the country’s best), or a veggie-friendly egg white terrine with aged goat cheese. House-made classics include biscuits, cured pork belly, and, of course, fresh preserves.
In a month or so, Jam will make a fresh peach puree and homemade Bloody Mary mix for your morning cocktail (it’ll be BYOB).
Coming soon: garden seating, midnight brunches, and a Monday degustation menu.
Wham, bam, thank you, Jam.
