Sea It to Believe It

The Lady & the Sailor Clothing

Dear American Apparel,

Most of your customers aren’t miniature prostitutes. Until you clean up your act (and rework that size chart), I will support The Lady & the Sailor.

Made in the U.S., the line is all basics — casual by day, dressy by night — with a sexy, stylized fit. Designer Brittany Correy has worked for Jill Roberts in L.A. and has no prior sexual harassment charges.

Cotton, rayon, and silk blends and slinky, move-with-your-bod shapes are enhanced by a soft color palette (gray, navy, black, white, sherbet). The Lady is one size fits all, and she means it. The striped minidress flares fluidly over leggings; the scoop-neck tee is a layering staple; the shifty cardigan’s extra-long sleeves are meant to be rolled. Fall brings drawstring hoodies and pin-striped boyfriend button-ups.

Sounds like an American Dream.

Sealed with a diss,
