You’ve tested every foodie fad (raw, vegan, juice); you drew the line at murdered carrots.
Chew on this: You can eat well without acting a fool.
Start at Sprout, an organic restaurant opening today in Lincoln Park. Enter a stony exterior to find bold red accents, granite flooring, and a menu chockful of French- and Italian-inspired eats from chef Edward Walker.
Dishes change seasonally and are 90 percent organic (and 100 percent yum). Expect reasonably priced entrees like seared lamb chop with a squash puree, roasted sweet potatoes with curried chicken salad, halibut with blood orange salsa, and pear-roasted chicken.
Finish your meal with Walker’s Special Magic Monkey: homemade vanilla ice cream, caramelized pecans and pears, and ganache-dipped sponge cake.
It’s to die for.
