Mom always said you were special — your art projects hinting at a precocious genius.

Was she a big liar? Find out for yourself with the I Draw Inspiration T-shirt design contest.

Here’s how it works: Incorporating the slogan “I Rock Inspiration,” create a design that represents what revs your engine (beauty? brains? late ’80s Brit pop?). Use up to four colors (silver and gold excluded), and you must include a brief description of both your inspiration and artwork.

The winning design will be produced on a tee and distributed at this November’s Gen Art Shop N.Y. event. The artist and a guest will be flown in to attend the soiree, meet with other designers, and get a behind-the-scenes tour of a working showroom.

The submission deadline is October 23, and from September 15 to October 30, your cadre of fans can vote for your design in hopes of getting it noticed.

Mom would be so proud.
