Pop Quiz: How do you keep a cooped-up toddler busy during winter?
a) Play Cootie ’til you puke.
b) Institute a strict five-hour nap policy.
c) Sign him up for Second City’s PlayCity program.
If you chose “c,” correct! Registration just began for the comedy haven’s new weekly class series that introduces improv to the diapered set. Along with a parent, kids (ages 1-4) learn about socialization, expression, movement, and imagination through make-believe games and activities.
You’ll start with basics like finger play and dance (hello, Hokey Pokey fans), then move on to pantomime (bake a fake cake). By taking turns making animal sounds and passing a ball, tots learn the value of teamwork.
And no one gets left in the cold.
PlayCity runs January 12-March 4. Register by calling 312-664-3959 or online at secondcity.com.
