The New Year will bring a host of heinous resolutions. Better live it up while you can.

Now: Learn about the launch of local company Salted Caramel.

Noon: Hit up owner Ginna Haravon’s website. Wonder where she got her mad skills (culinary school, Everest pastry assistant, teaching at The Chopping Block and Flavour Cooking School) and how in hell she invented bourbon bacon caramel corn (a spontaneous Super Bowl snack). Learn her process (old-fashioned hand-popped corn, natural ingredients, small batch).

12:15 p.m.: Place order for an eight-ounce bag (for you) and a two-pound bag (for your “friends”).

2 p.m.: Dream about sweet savory combinations.

A few days later …

6 a.m.: Wake up in a cold sweat. Did you miss the mailman? You should probably sleep next to the mailbox.

9 a.m.: You’re drooling on the sidewalk. Don’t get ahead of yourself.

That’s how it goes.

Once you pop, you can’t stop.
