You love getting cozy but refuse to abandon pride (we’re looking at you, Snuggie).

Warm up with a blanket by Mexchic, a new collection sponsored by designer Christina Hattler.

Five years ago, Hattler packed her bags and moved to Mexico, where, surrounded by artisans, her creative instincts kicked in. She wanted to help bring the indigenous wares stateside. So she did what any willful girl would do: bought an old Jeep and headed for the hills.

She found what she was looking for in the Central Mexican mountains: the Otomi, who produce Mexchic’s 100 percent virgin wool blankets. Untreated, undyed, and hand-knit, their soft colors (cream, gray, light brown) and simple patterns (stripes, plaid, checks, houndstooth, diamondbacks, zigzags) will fit neatly into your home.

Do yourself proud.
