When Pivot closed, you cried. After Hejfina’s demise, you went into full-fledged mourning. But Cerato Boutique can help you change out of that somber outfit.
The sunny Southport shop opens tomorrow, thanks to tireless (and pregnant!) owner Tracey Glibowski. The ex-advertising maven took her layoff and ran with it, overhauling a former real estate agency into a modern, homey storefront (country-chic wallpaper, Jonathan Adler chandelier).
Glibowski named the shop after a healing flower used to enhance self-confidence. Her battle cry: Recession be damned — support Chicago designers!
Flowy Kristin Hassan skirts hang alongside silk shorts by Eskell, ecofriendly Frei Designs tunics, and Kate Boggiano shirtdresses. Pick up structured, tribal-inspired dresses from Horacio Nieto and bangles by Jules. And she stocks affordable, nonlocal lines (Guido & Mary denim, Ali Ro) to add some color to the mix.
