A decade of vintage shopping and all you can show for it is a lousy T-shirt and some Petite Sophisticates.
But a half hour exploring two narrow floors of Sofia boutique (which just upgraded from Clark Street office building to historic Oak Street walk-up) and you’ve procured a mint-condition Chanel 2.5 bag, Grateful Dead collectible concert tee, and SkinGraft leather holsters.
Sisters/owners Ashley Zisook and Allison Zisook Goldstein continue to finesse international sources (from estate sales to flea markets) to offer a tightly edited crop of vintage and emerging designer clothing and accessories. You don’t have to dig too deep to unearth Ani Lee party dresses; Dior men’s suits; and a slew of Givenchy, Hermès, Fendi, and Lanvin loot from the ’20s to ’80s.
And if you want something specific? The sisters will gladly hunt for it (to keep you from reliving your past).
