The set: Ravenswood Event Center, a lofty, industrial-chic space prepped for 75 hungry diners.
Plot summary: Four seasonal courses and locally brewed beer pairings.
Sneak preview: Debuting July 25, Goose Island pairs beer (Sophie, Matilda) with dishes of great wit and originality. Veggie frittata with fennel salad, cheesy biscuits with smoked trout and crab bearnaise, wild boar date sausage with a soft-boiled egg, and a happy ending of hazelnut strawberry bread pudding with salt-and-pepper ice cream.
The sequel: Southern-inspired, August 29 menu with beer pairings from New Holland Brewing Co. A thrilling display of grilled cheese and egg with tomato confit; corn, potato, and duck hash; miso-glazed pork belly, cheesy grits, and Allen Brother’s rib eye. Farm-fresh peach doughnuts for the finale.
