Dance Dance Party Party Debuts

There seems to be a word missing from your Dance Dance Revolution sessions.

It’s party. And you can get yours at the revolutionary Dance Dance Party Party, a freestyle boogie-down hour with a few rules: no booze, no boys, and no judgments.

Go to the studio dressed for comfort. Dimmed lights and a disco ball set the mood, and a different DJ spins from her iPod each week. Tunes bounce from old-school pop (Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince) to a mixed bag of rock, rap, and alternative (the Ramones, Coolio, Daft Punk).

Safe from spilled drinks and awkward, creepy stares from sweaty members of the opposite sex, you can flail, break-dance, cartwheel, and booty shake with zero inhibition (cofounders Jenn Salvatore and Jenn Brandel have even witnessed the use of nunchakus).

It costs a measly $5. So don’t just stand there.
