Recovered Interior Reupholster and Home Design Service

Recover Old Furniture with an Expert's Help

recovered interior reupholstering and design!

That beat-up chair you bought at a flea market six months ago is still sitting reproachfully in your living room, awaiting revival. Turn it over to designer/upholsterer Kylie Egge and watch it come back to life.

A graduate of Harrington College of Design and five-year Orange Skin consultant, Egge just launched Recovered Interior, where she uses unconventional textiles to give old frames a fresh look.

She makes a house call to determine how to best complement your space (tending toward statement pieces — don’t be afraid to take risks), then offers fabric options. After a few days (or weeks, depending on the job) of working at her studio, she returns the refurbished masterpiece to your door.

You can also shop Egge’s As Found collection of vintage gems. Current favorites: a button-tufted, midcentury Laura Petrie (as in, from the TV show) bench in electric blue wool and a “murdered-out” (that’s designer speak for all black) wing chair backed with peacock fabric. They might just outlast you.
