When HotChocolate owner Mindy Segal gives you orders, you take them. Especially when they involve ice cream.
The contents of her new takeout containers are so fresh, she insists you eat them within two days. So we created a rigid schedule for you to follow upon purchase. (Note: Flavors are sold in half pints, which is, of course, a single serving.)
The Mindy Segal Meal Plan (a.k.a. How to Eat Ice Cream Four Times a Day)
Cream cheese ice cream, La Choulette Framboise (a French raspberry beer), and raspberry-infused red velvet cake start your morning with a healthy dose of fruit and dairy.
Banana ice cream swimming with fresh-baked s’mores brownies, topped with caramelized marshmallows. Potassium? Check.
Mint aids digestion and freshens your breath. Peppermint patty ice cream doesn’t do either, but you won’t care.
A frozen homage to birthday cake: rich, creamy flourless chocolate cake ice cream with a dense, fudgy middle layer.
Still hungry? Segal’s dishing out sweet corn with bourbon caramel next.
Available at Mindy’s HotChocolate, 1747 North Damen Avenue, at Willow Street (773-489-1747 or hotchocolatechicago.com).
